Canalele de comunicare traditinale au in comun un lucru clar: sunt neadresabile. Adica mesajul este livrat catre oricine se intampla sa le asculte sau se le vada, si acei indivizi nu sunt identificabili.

Canale neadresabile: TV/radio/print/marketing la evenimente/Product placement/In-store display.

In contrast, canalele adresabile vorbesc cu fiecare client/prospect. Aceste canale ofera oportunitatea de a adapta mesajul catre fiecare individ si de a masura raspunsul. In general toate canalele adresabile sunt presupun si obtinerea unui raspuns direct.

Canale adresabile: Call center, Direct mail, Servicii de vanzare, Mobile device, Email, Publicitate pe web, Search engine, website.
